him & Him

He just stood there, smiling. She received a lot of smiles that day but that one particular smile has made her smile all the way.

There is too much that she wants. But with him, having enough is by having too little. Ample to make them closer to Him.

Life seduces her with its ideas of perfection. But how perfect is perfect? Perfect is when He is content. Being with him, she realizes, is making Him content. Thus, life is perfect, is it not?

For a rather less passionate person, she has been given too much love. Though as grateful as she gets, it is not the cause of the feelings she has for him. To describe that particular feeling is unattainable. For it to be compared to anything in the world, is unimaginable.

The hopes of life may have changed but for it to be peroxide with him, makes everything absolute. There are other fishes in the sea for him. Or perhaps for herself. Yet, she is convinced as ever that she is not meant for a shark or if he is meant for a dolphin. He is meant for her.

What she is going through at the moment is undeniably hard. He knows exactly what to do to make it better, as always. In fact, she knows the answers herself but she stays there, searching for another rescue. He says it anyway. She pauses. She wants to play forward but she is afraid. “What if.. What if..” Her mind never keeps quiet. He is ready with all the answers. She believes every word. She didn’t even have to try.

Step by step they take and soon enough, will they reach the top. In the meanwhile though, they refuse to look into each other’s eyes. For they know they will have more of it when the time comes.

Allahummarzuqni hubbaka wa hubba man yanfa ‘uni hubbuhu ‘ indaka

“Ya Allah, jika aku jatuh cinta, cintakanlah aku pada seseorang yang melabuhkan cintanya pada-Mu, agar bertambah kekuatan ku untuk mencintai-Mu.”
